Johnson University Named Champions of Character Five-Star Institution

KNOXVILLE, Tn- In just the first year of being a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Johnson University has been named a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution.

Traditionally, institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

Johnson University was one of 15 AAC schools to receive the Five-Star Award, and one of nine to receive gold status. Johnson was also one of just six AAC schools to record a perfect score of 100.
