Johnson Athletics Welcomes Addison Lafayette and Logan Galbreath to Staff
KNOXVILLE, TN– Johnson University Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of two key staff members who will play an integral role in enhancing the Royals' athletic experience both on and off the field. Logan Galbreath has been named Athletic Engagement & Operations Coordinator, and Addison Lafayette has joined the department as the new Sports Information Director.
Addison Lafayette – Sports Information Director
Joining the Royals in July 2025 is Addison Lafayette, a skilled communicator with a background in media, content strategy, and sports-focused storytelling. Lafayette graduated from Beech Senior High School in 2021 and went on to earn a degree in Communication from the University of Tennessee with minors in Advertising/Public Relations and Journalism.
Lafayette brings valuable experience to the department, having served as a Social Media Intern for Omaha Productions where she helped produce content for the widely popular ManningCast every Monday night. She also completed a social media internship with UT's Adam Brown Social Media Command Center, managed all digital content for Ham 'n Goodys, and worked in the Communication Studies office at UT.
Her connection to Johnson came through a recommendation from Galbreath. With a desire to grow in sports media, she was drawn to the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a growing athletic department.
"I'm incredibly excited to join Johnson Athletics and help tell the stories of the incredible student-athletes who represent this university," Lafayette said. "From game day coverage to behind-the-scenes moments, I'm looking forward to building a strong media presence that celebrates the Royals community and creates lasting memories for fans, families, and players alike."
Logan Galbreath – Athletic Engagement & Operations Coordinator
A 2025 Johnson graduate, Logan Galbreath steps into his new role after years of involvement with Royals Athletics as both a student-athlete and staff member. Galbreath was a member of the Johnson baseball team from 2021–2024 and began working in athletic media during his sophomore year, starting with the baseball team's social media accounts. That role expanded into a work-study position in 2023 and eventually a broader position serving all Johnson teams during his senior year.
A native of Tennessee, Galbreath graduated from Beech Senior High School in 2021 before earning his Bachelor of Business Administration at Johnson. He will also be pursuing a Master of Business Administration.
"I have always had a passion for sports, and in this new role I plan to create one of the best gameday atmospheres in all of NAIA because I truly believe we have the fans and community to do that," Galbreath shared. "This opportunity means the world to me. I started out by asking my baseball coach if I could help with our social media posts, and now I have the opportunity to really give back to the community that welcomed me — so that is really special to me."
A Message from the Athletic Director
"We're thrilled to welcome both Logan and Addison to our staff," said Brandon Perry, Athletic Director at Johnson University. "Logan has already shown incredible dedication to our programs during his time as a student, and his passion for creating a first-class game day experience is unmatched. Addison brings fresh energy and outstanding media skills that will help elevate the way we tell our story. Together, they are a strong addition to our department and will help move us forward in a big way."
