KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Top-seeded Reinhardt remains the lone undefeated team in the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Tournament and waits to see who it will face in the championship game.

The four-day event is being held at the Brickyard Ball Fields in Kingsport, Tenn.

Thursday's play began with a pair of elimination games with Brenau holding off Columbia 10-9 and Johnson squeaking by Truett McConnell 1-0.

In the winners' bracket final, Reinhardt outlasted Tennessee Wesleyan in a tight 7-6 affair.

The day ended with Johnson knocking off Brenau 5-3 to keep its championship hopes alive.

Tennessee Wesleyan and Johnson will meet on Saturday at 11 am in the losers' bracket final with the winner advancing to face Reinhardt in the championship game at 1 pm. Should Reinhardt lose, a second championship game will be played immediately after the first game.
