Coby Jones Becomes All Time Scoring Leader in Royals Win

KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals played host to St. Andrews on 12/1 where they won the AAC showdown 97-80.

Coby Jones led the Royals offense with 33 points as he surpassed Taylor Gilpin to become the Royals All Time Scoring Leader. Prior to the contest, the record was 2365 points. Following the game, Coby has set the record at 2397 points and counting. He set the record in 101 career games, averaging 23.4 ppg over the course of his career. It was a phenomenal night for a phenomenal member of the Johnson community.

Miles Long also added 17 points in the contest. The rebounding effort was led by Coby Jones who pulled down 8 boards, as Miles Long and Orion Mashburn also had 7 rebounds each. 

The Royals look to carry this momentum into their next game when they travel to take on another AAC opponent in Bluefield University on 12/4.
