KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on AAC opponent Tennessee Wesleyan on 1/5, where they lost 74-76 to the Bulldogs.
The Royals had a chance to win or force overtime with 11 seconds left at the end of regulation, but their last possession ended in a missed shot and ultimately a loss.
Miles Long led the Royals offense with 14 points. Parker Haun and Nick Clifton were also in double digits with 13 and 10 respectively.
Nick Clifton led the effort on the glass with 8 rebounds, as the Royals were slightly outrebounded 33-27.
The Royals will look to push for a win in their next game on 1/7, when they host another AAC opponent in St. Andrews.
