Brandon Perry enters his eight season as the head coach for the men's basketball team at Johnson University. A native of Bluff City Tennessee, Brandon is a graduate of Sullivan East High School in 1998 where he was a two-sport athlete playing basketball and baseball. Brandon would go on to attend Milligan College where he earned a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis on digital media. 

During his time as head coach, Brandon has led the Royals to a National Championship in 2021 in addition to 2 other final four appearances. Brandon has had players earn NCCAA Mid-East All-Region honors, All-American honors, and two players award the NCCAA Pete Maravich award.  Brandon was also named NCCAA Mid-East Region Coach of the Year in 2016,2018, and 2021. He was also named NCCAA National Coach of the Year in 2018. 

When asked what he enjoys most about coaching he said, "watching young men move from being individual players to family." 

Brandon also has over 15 years of experience in ministry.  He resides in Knoxville with his wife Jamie and their son Judah, and daughter Delaney.
