Men's Tennis Signs Jones To 2021 Class

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Men's Tennis team added another member to their incoming Fall 2021 class on Monday morning. Senior Camden Jones from Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky will join the Royals and looks to make an immediate impact on the court.

Jones comes to the Royals after a decorated high school career, especially on the doubles court.  Camden was the Regional Doubles Champion in 2019, 2019 Team Regional Champions, 2nd Overall All Area Doubles Team in 2019, and was named an Academic All State player in both 2018 and 2019.  When asked why Camden chose Johnson, Camden stated, "I want to grow my faith and experience my walk with those around me.  I also want to continue my tennis career.  I value a good team relationship and having fun and Johnson is the perfect fit!"

According to Coach Hale, Camden's impact on the Royals will be immediate: "Camden's background in doubles is going to instantly bring depth to our lineup.  He likes to come to the net, play aggressively, and attack the ball which is right in line with our playing philosophy here at Johnson.  More importantly than his playing abilities, Cam is going to be such a positive presence on our team and Johnson as a whole. He takes his faith seriously and is someone who is a pleasure to be around, always bringing smiles.  I'm really looking forward to getting to work with him and getting to know him more as a player and a person!"

Camden Jones joins Jacob Keeling and Jaden Talley as Freshmen Royals this fall.
