KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals began their season with a 2-0 start over the weekend, playing Berea and Blackburn college in consecutive days. The Royals won 4-3 and 3-0 resulting in the first clean sheet of the season for GK Jailie Bullock.
The Royals were lead in scoring by Jamie Leaverton who has 3 goals across the 2 matches, however they are proving to be a balanced offense as Taylor Neltner(2), Kendyl Onks(1), and Sarah Roberts(1) also scored. Neltner also added 2 assists and Roberts had an assist as well.
The Royals will look to build on their momentum in their next matchup against The Citadel on Sept. 11 at 1:00.
