KNOXVILLE, Tn- Caroline Rhoton officially joined the Royals Women's Tennis program when she signed her letter of intent this past Friday. Rhoton comes to the Royals from local South Doyle High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Rhoton will play the number one singles and doubles line this season for the second straight season and will look to improve upon her semi-final result in the district tournament last season. Rhoton knew Johnson was the place for her during her first visit on campus, "I chose Johnson because of the small community feel. The moment I walked on campus, I felt welcomed and loved," she said. "I am so looking forward to being a part of the Johnson tennis team and getting to play with other players who have the same passion and drive as me."
Coach Hale was very excited for the addition of Caroline to the team next year, "Every interaction I have had with Caroline has just made me more excited to have her as part of the team. She is someone who seems to really embrace challenges and wants to work hard and get better everyday. In addition to tennis, she is going to be a great ambassador for tennis and Johnson. We're really looking forward to working with her here."
