KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on AAC opponent Tennessee Wesleyan yesterday and came out victorious winning in 4 sets. The match was tightly contested, as the first 3 sets were all decided by 4 points or less. In the fourth set, the Royals ran away with the match, 25-16.
Harley Shumaker dominated the Royals attack, registering 13 kills. Jensen Davis also added 9 kills. Brianna Connaster and Gentry McReynolds played pivotal roles as well, adding 16 and 15 digs respectively.
The Royals look to carry this momentum into their next match, when they host AAC opponent, Montreat College, on 10/8.
