KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to Bluefield on 9/13 where they fell in a 5-set battle with their AAC opponents. The Royals fell in extra points in 2 of the 3 sets they lost.
Sydney Smith led the attack with 25 kills on the day. Maddy Taylor and Emma Hannaford each registered double-digit kills as well with 12 and 11 respectively.
4 Royals had double digit digs on the day. Gentry McReynolds had 36 to lead the charge, while Hannah Lukey added 20. Sydney Smith added 14 and Marissa McMahon added 12.
Hannah Lukey also amassed 52 assists in the match.
The Royals look to bounce back on 9/16 when they host Columbia College in another AAC matchup.
