KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals played in their second match of the AAC Tournament on 11/11, when they took on the number 2 seed, Bryan College.
The Royals showed incredible resiliance as they pushed Bryan to 5 sets after falling down 2-0.
Sydney Smith amassed 26 kills in the match, while Kaitlyn Wilkerson added 10.
Marissa McMahon was one of 4 Royals with double-digit digs as she had a whopping 36. Gentry McReynolds had 19, Hannah Lukey had 16, and Sydney Smith had 14.
Hannah Lukey also totaled 52 assists on the day.
It was an incredible match that unfortunately saw the Royals lose in 5 sets, and their season came to an end. However, the outcome cannot take away from the effort they put forth, and the history they made for this program by getting into the tournament for their first time in program history.
