Royals Dominate Tournament at Freed-Hardman

KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take part in a two-day tournament at Freed-Hardman on 9/1 and 9/2, where they played matches against Tougaloo, Central Baptist, Fisk, and Rust. The Royals would win all 4 matches including 3 of their matches in 4 sets, while defeating Fisk in straight sets. 

Abby Brown led the Royals attack with 34 total kills across all matches, while Kaitlyn Wilkerson had 32. Jordan Martin had 70 assists in the tournament while Juliette Wilkerson had 46.

Marissa McMahon amassed 55 digs on the tournament as she earned all-tournament honors. Maddy Taylor was named to the all-tournament team as well. 

The Royals will look to carry momentum from their tournament into their home opener on 9/7 when they host AAC opponent Bryan College.
