Taylor Named 1st Team All-AAC; Reaves named Champions of Character Team Member; 14 Royals make All-Academic Team

KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Appalachian Athletic Conference Awards have been announced for women's volleyball, and Maddy Taylor has been named to the First-Team All-AAC. Smith has had a fantastic season for the Royals, as she finished the year with 87 blocks, which she got at a rate of .88 blocks per set, and 214 kills. It was a fantastic individual year for Maddy Taylor and she is now being honored for it among the best players in the conference.

In addition to Taylor being named to the All-AAC First Team, Maddie Reaves was named to the Champions of Character Team.

Each team may select 1 representative who best embodies the values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

This year Maddie Reaves has demonstrated these characteristics, on and off the court, and has been recognized for doing so.

Finally, an impressive, 14 Royals were named to the All-Academic Team. Johnson's All-Academic Team members include Abby Brown, Madeline Dieterich, Ansley Greiner, Hannah Lukey, Jordan Martin, Marissa McMahon, Haley Mitchell, Aubrey Mollenhauer, Kallie Powell, Maddie Reaves, Emma Renner Holt, Harley Shumaker, Maddy Taylor, and Kaitlyn Wilkerson
