Bio
Logan Sharp enters his third season leading the Royals in 2025, continuing to establish Johnson as a rising program on the national stage. In just two years at the helm, he has delivered back-to-back seasons of historic firsts for the men’s basketball program.
In 2024–25, Sharp guided the Royals to their first-ever 20-win season and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, marking the first at-large bid in AAC men’s basketball history. Johnson also produced three All-Conference selections, highlighted by Newcomer of the Year Mason Lockhart.
In his debut 2022–23 campaign, Sharp led a remarkable turnaround, improving the team by eight wins from the previous year to finish 17–13. The Royals climbed from 11th in the AAC preseason poll to 4th in the final standings, reached the conference semifinals, and captured the school’s first-ever NAIA postseason victory. That season also produced two All-Conference honorees and the AAC Freshman of the Year.
Before joining Johnson, Sharp spent two successful seasons as the Head Coach at Eastern Nazarene College, where he earned NECC Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Lions to a regular season conference championship and a tournament title game appearance. He also gained valuable experience as an assistant coach at both Hartwick College and Eastern Nazarene.
A Knoxville-area native and standout at Alcoa High School, Sharp went on to play four seasons at Bryan College, competing in the same conference he now coaches in. He earned his master’s degree from Eastern Nazarene in 2020.
