Tony Jones enters his second season as the Associate Head Coach at Johnson in 2024. In his first season, Jones played a pivotal role in the Royals’ remarkable turnaround, contributing to an 8-game improvement and a 17-13 finish. The team surpassed expectations by finishing 4th in the AAC, despite being picked 11th in the preseason poll. Under Jones’ guidance, the Royals reached the AAC semi-finals and secured the school’s first-ever NAIA post-season victory. His coaching also led to the development of two All-Conference players and the AAC Freshman of the Year during the 2023 campaign.

Jones brings a wealth of coaching experience at multiple levels, including high school, Division I, and professional basketball. His Division I coaching stops include stints at Buffalo, Toledo, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Tennessee, Auburn, and Oakland. On the professional stage, Jones served as Head Coach of the Windsor Express in the NBL Canada in 2016.

Throughout his 25-year coaching career, Jones has built an impressive resume of accomplishments:
