Weekly Recap: Women's Basketball Thrives While Men's Struggle

Knoxville, TN- The Johnson University basketball teams had contrasting results this past week. The men's team faced a tough stretch, suffering losses to Bryan University (68-61) on Dec. 4 and CIU (SC) (83-76) on Dec. 7. Despite showing strong performances, especially in the first half of both games, they were unable to hold on to leads in the second half.

In a brighter note, the women's team had an excellent week, winning both of their matchups. On Dec. 4, they triumphed 73-66 over Bryan University, with key contributions from the team's offensive and defensive efforts. The team followed up with another victory on Dec. 7, defeating CIU (SC) 73-66. Johnson's solid shooting and strong rebounding were the difference makers in both games.

Both teams will look to regroup and make adjustments as they move forward, continuing to work hard toward their goals for the rest of the season.
