KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals played host to AAC opponent Bryan College in a series that was split due to weather, with a double-header taking place on 3/11, before the series could be completed on 3/14.
The Royals fell in all three contests as the final scores were; 6-5, 4-2, and 23-6.
Offensively, the Royals were lead by Will Varner and Kenny Naysmith, who each registered 3 hits. Will Varner added another stolen base to his total. Derrick Lay, Rives Marshall, and Brayden Taylor each had 2 RBIs in the series.
On the mound, Jacob Claiborne had a strong 6 inning performance in game one, allowing 2 hits and 2 earned runs while tossing two strikeouts. Brayden Taylor also showed out on the mound, allowing 2 runs across 6 innings while amassing 8 strikeouts.
The Royals play again on 3/18 when they travel to take on AAC opponent, Reinhardt.
