Royals Fall Victim to Home Run Barrage from Cumberlands

KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals hosted the University of the Cumberlands on 3/14, where they lost both games of the doubleheader, 2-4 and 6-17. The Patriots hit 6 home runs on the day.

Nathan Hoffman led the Royals on the mound with 5 strikeouts. Austin Mitchell and Blake Courson had 2 strikeouts each as well.

Will Varner, Seth Pressley, and Bryson Shown tied for the team lead with 2 hits on the day, including a Bryson Shown home run. 

Seth Pressley had the lone stolen base on the day for the Royals.

The Royals will look to turn things around on 3/17, when they host AAC opponent Reinhardt.
