KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals hosted Tennessee Southern on 4/5, where they would eventually lose in extra innings, 10-9.
Zachary Coots led the Royls on the mound with 4 strikeouts while Connor Haley added 3.
Pierce Durham had an incredible day at the plate, tallying 5 hits for the team lead. Will Varner added 3, while Brayden Taylor and Braden Ott each had a pair of hits. Brayden Taylor hit a homerun in the bottom of the 10th as well as totaled 5 RBIs.
On the basepaths Luke Vest and Will Varner each had a steal.
The Royals will look for a better result on 4/7 when they travel to take on AAC opponent Milligan.
