KNOXVILLE, TN– The Royals delivered a dominant performance over the weekend, sweeping Montreat College with back-to-back wins on Saturday to secure the AAC series sweep. The Royals took Game 2 in a high-scoring 13-8 battle before closing out the series with a 10-2 victory in Game 3.
Head coach Dave Serrano praised his team's effort and consistency. "This ended up being a good weekend for our team. Anytime you sweep somebody, it's a good weekend. Our guys continue to play as a team, keep being resilient, and continue to put a pretty impressive resume together for down the stretch. What I like that I'm seeing is it seems it's a different player or different part of the team that continues to help us have success. It's also very impressive to see two true freshmen, Luke Wilson and Eli Garrett, continue to contribute in a big way."
