KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to Welch College on 10/30 to open their season against Welch College.
This game was decided in overtime as the Royals pulled out a 108-100 victory over Welch. Miles Long led the way with a scoring outburst of 36 points while Coby Jones also erupted for 35. Calvin Quehl led the effort on the glass, totaling 12 rebounds to go along with 10 points for a double double.
The Royals play again on 11/2 when they travel to take on Lees-McRae in a scrimmage.
