KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on Pikeville on 2/14 where they lost to the Bears 7-20.
Zachary Coots had 2 strikeouts on the mound for the Royals as Jacob Mallory and Noah Maples each had a strikeout.
At the plate Will Varner and Tyler Phillips each tallied a pair of hits, while Varner drove in 2 RBIs as did Josean Garcia. Brayden Taylor also had a homerun.
On the basepaths, Varner had one stolen base.
The Royals will look to turn things around on 2/17, when they host their first AAc opponent in Kentucky Christian.
