KNOXVILLE, Tn- Johnson University is pleased to announce the addition of Isaac Morris as our new head men's soccer coach. Coach Morris previously served as the assistant men's soccer coach at Johnson University for the 2020-2022 seasons. Prior to this, Coach Morris played for the Royals for 4 seasons and served as team captain his junior and senior seasons.

"We are happy to have Isaac stepping in as the Head Coach," said athletic director Brandon Perry. "It is really great to see one of our own come through the program and rise to this position. I believe that Isaac has tremendous potential as a soccer coach and I'm excited to see his growth. He proved to play a crucial role as an assistant and recruiting this class. Coach Proctor was an amazing coach, and it is great to see his culture and direction being carried on by one of his former players. Coach Morris will continue to build on that foundation and will carry this team to new heights as we look to be a player in the AAC."

When asked about his new role at Johnson, Coach Morris shared, " I am thrilled to step into the role of Head Coach here at Johnson. This place holds special significance for my family and me. Having spent much time on campus since my childhood and having witnessed its growth during my time as a student, and now as a coach, it has been a pleasure. I look forward to driving further growth and success in the athletic department, particularly within our program. Moreover, I am enthusiastic about carrying out the mission of building up young men to follow their faith and pursue what God is calling them to do."

Coach Morris will also be bringing along Thaylan Silva as his assistant coach. "I am delighted to have Thaylan Silva join us as my assistant coach," he shared. "Thaylan, a graduate from Carson Newman, earned the honor of being named a D2CCA Second Team All-American during his remarkable playing career. His leadership as the Kings Academy coach last year significantly contributed to one of the program's most successful years. Thaylan's exceptional understanding of the game and his remarkable soccer IQ provide invaluable insight to our team, making his presence a true asset."

Coach Morris's familiarity with the program and enthusiasm for leading his players will be helpful tools in making the program reach new heights.
