CLEVELAND, GA- The Men's Soccer Team suffered a tough 4-0 loss on the road against Truett-McConnell. The home team capitalized on key opportunities, scoring twice in each half to secure the win.
Truett-McConnell opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a goal from Oscar Brennan, assisted by Hendrik Metje. Gavin Eddy added a second just before halftime with an unassisted strike off a blocked shot. The pressure continued in the second half, as Jose Ventura and Brennan each added goals, with Ventura also assisting on Brennan's second of the day.
Despite their efforts, Johnson struggled to find the back of the net, managing only seven shots, two of which were on goal. Robert Platt and Mateo Servat led the Royals' attack with one shot on goal each. Goalkeeper Tobias Chileef made five saves, but it wasn't enough to stop Truett-McConnell's offensive onslaught.
With this result, Johnson's record falls to 5-4-2, while Truett-McConnell improves to 7-3-2. The Royals will look to bounce back in their next match as they continue conference play.
