Men's Tennis Adds Talley to 2021 Class
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Johnson University men's tennis team added Jaden Talley from Manchester, Tennessee to their 2021-2022 team.
Talley has played one of the top two positions on his high school team all four years and has been able to accomplish 34 total wins, including 2 undefeated seasons in district play. In 2019, he was named to the All-District and All Tournament teams while leading his team to the school's only District Title. Talley's strengths are highlighted by his high school coach, Josh Inzer, "Jaden, first off, is an all-around good person. As a player, he plays with furious aggression that is brought out from his passion for the game! In regards to his impact on the court, it is immediate. The intelligence and selfless play that he brings improves the team as a whole. You know what you are getting with Jaden as a player and a team member."
Jaden's reasoning for coming to Johnson is holistic, "I chose Johnson because I felt it was a place where I could become a better person and develop myself spiritually. I feel as if it will benefit me and I hope to benefit the team and Johnson community." Coach Hale echoed Coach Inzer's words when describing Jaden, "He is going to be a player that is going to come in and impact our team immediately. When Coach Inzer was describing Jaden he was describing the exact type of player we are looking for here at Johnson University and I am excited to have Jaden join us!"
Talley joins Jacob Keeling as signees for the 2021-2022 season.
