KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on AAC opponent, CIU on 9/14, where they fell 5-2.
The match was initially much tighter than the final score, as the Royals held a 1-0 lead and were tied 2-2 at halftime. The second half was a different story however, as the Royals were outshot 22-7 on the day.
Nichole Mingey and Anna Jo Mullins each scored a goal for the Royals. Sarah Roberts registered an assist as well.
Kaitlyn Pope and Courtney Daniels split time in goal again, as Pope had 7 saves and Daniels had 3.
The Royals look to bounce back on 9/17 when they play host to another AAC opponent in Bluefield.
