Royals Season Opener Ends in No Contest Due to Weather

KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on Carolina University on 8/26 for their season opener. However, the match would end after 52 minutes of play due to weather, resulting in a no contest. 

The match was evenly fought, as the Royals had 9 shots to the Bruins 10.

Kaitlyn Pope got the start in goal and totaled 9 saves on the abbreviated match. 

The Royals will look ahead to their home opener on 9/2 where they will host Point University.
