The Royals lost to the Grace Christian Tigers by a set score of 3-1.
The Royals came out hot, winning the first set 25-23. But the Tigers woke up, winning three straight sets. Set 2 was a blowout by a score of 25-12. Sets 3 and 4 were no walk in the park, with the Tigers winning 26-24 and 25-23 respectively.
The Tigers were led by the effort of Ashley Hoek, who had a staggering 25 kills on just 47 attempts. Megan Postma also put up 12 kills, and Tori Johnston had 40 assists.
The Royals were led by Jensen Davis and Kelly Wilder, with 13 kills and 12 kills respectively. Sydney Crook led the Royals with 27 assists.
The Royals will be heading to the national tournament next week, where they will hope to rebound from this tough loss.
