Volleyball Sweeps Tennessee Wesleyan

KNOXVILLE, TN- The Women's Volleyball Team continued its dominant season with a straight-set sweep over Tennessee Wesleyan on October 8, 2024, at the Graham Center in Knoxville. The Royals took the match 25-14, 25-12, 27-25, improving their record to 17-3 overall and 8-2 in conference play.

Johnson delivered an impressive offensive and defensive performance. Leading the way for the Royals was Kaitlyn Wilkerson with 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .400, while Luci Morris added 9 kills and 5 block assists. Setter Hannah Lukey orchestrated the attack with 25 assists, and Marissa McMahon anchored the defense with 20 digs.

The Royals' balanced play showed in the third set, where they fought off a strong rally from Tennessee Wesleyan, who posted a match-high 15 kills in the final frame but fell just short at 27-25.

Johnson will look to continue their winning streak in their next match as they push for a top spot in the conference.
