KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals played host to AAC opponent, Bluefield University on 4/22 and 4/23, where they fell in the series; 23-7, 13-6, and 7-4.
Rives Marshall led the offense for the Royals with 4 hits and an RBI, while Will Varner also had 4 hits and 2 stolen bases.
On the mound, John Turner III led the Royals with 6 strikeouts. Carson Raby added 4 as well, while Levi Keltz had 2.
The Royals play their final games of the season on 4/25 when they take on Kentucky Christian in an AAC double header.
The Royals also took time before the double-header on 4/23 to honor their group of 5 seniors; Rives Marshall, John Turner III, Tyler Shelton, Derrick Lay, and Levi Keltz. This group has been awarded multiple NCCAA awards including gold gloves, all conference teams, and multiple other awards. They have certianly left their mark on the program, and will be missed as members of the team next season.
