KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals hosted the Pikeville University Bears on 4/12, where they beat the Beats 7-6.
Nathan Hoffman was credited with the win and tied for the team lead with 2 strikeouts. Blake Courson and Connor Haley each had a pair of strikeouts as well.
Pierce Durham led the team with 3 hits including a home run. Dallas Durden, Braden Ott, and Bryson Shown each had a pair of hits as well. Bryson Shown's two hits included a towering homerun and the walk-off single.
The Royals will look to carry this momentum into their next match on 4/14 when they travel to take on Truett McConnell in another AAC series.
