KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on AAC opponent Bluefield on 4/20 and 4/21, where they were swept by the Rams, losing 6-7, 5-10, and 4-11.
Nathan Hoffman led the Royals on the mound with 7 strikeouts, as Blake Courson fanned 3 batters, and Austin Mitchell struck out 2.
Kenny Naysmith led the Royals at the plate amassing 7 hits on the series, including a home run. Bryson Shown, Seth Pressley, Nazhir Bergen, and Pierce Durham added 3 hits as well. Tyler Phillips also blasted a home run on the series.
Will Varner stole 2 bases on the series.
The Royals will look to close things out strong on 4/28 and 4/29 when they host Asbury for what will be their final series of the season.
