Barbourville, KY- The Royals couldn't maintain an early lead, falling 4-1 to the Union Commonwealth Bulldogs in an AAC matchup. Johnson's record drops to 3-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play, while Union Commonwealth remains undefeated in the AAC.
The Royals struck first when Gianadres Franceschi scored off an assist from Joaquin Saaverdra in the 13th minute. However, the Bulldogs responded quickly, with Charlie Markland netting the equalizer just five minutes later. Goals by Tyler Wheatcroft and Isa Bramble in the first half gave Union Commonwealth a 3-1 halftime lead.
Union Commonwealth added a final goal in the 72nd minute when Callum Edwards found the back of the net, sealing the 4-1 victory. The Bulldogs outshot the Royals 25-6, with Tobias Chileef making 8 saves for Johnson.
