KNOXVILLE, TN– The Lady Royals responded in dominant fashion on Tuesday, sweeping Union Commonwealth in a conference doubleheader. Lindy Webber headlined the day with a no-hitter in Game 1, as the Lady Royals took the opener 8-0 before securing a 5-3 win in Game 2.
Head coach Dayna Carter praised her team's bounce-back effort. "It was a good way to bounce back after the Georgetown series just knowing what we were working with. Lindy did a great job, threw a no-hitter the first game. She's been throwing the ball really well, so I'm really happy about that. But the second game, we were able to get a lot of pitchers in, get some time, get a lot of reps. So, really pleased with what we did today."
