KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals volleyball team has officially notched their first win against a conference opponent as they defeat Montreat in 5 sets. This victory is not only the first for the volleyball team against a conference opponent, but is Johnson's first conference win across any sport in the AAC.
Jensen Davis led the way for the royals, registering 15 kills as Harley Schumaker added 11 kills as well.
The Royals found themselves in a hole, being down 2 sets to 1, yet roared back to win the final two sets.
The Royals look to build on their victory in their next match against another conference opponent in Bluefield College, on Oct. 14.
